Myths Vs Reality
NJEA has published an 8 page easy to navigate collection of common misconceptions about public education. It provides good talking points around key educational and economic issues.
NTEA Jean's Days 2013-2014 raised the largest amount of cash since the fund raiser began a decade ago.
Members raised $5,000 by doing something we enjoy: wearing Jean's to work.
All proceeds go toward the NTEA Scholarship Fund.
FIVE Neptune High School students were given 1,000 dollars each for college expenses. They were awarded these funds at a Building Rep gathering where we could congratulate them from all of the NTEA. Thanks, members!
What to Know?
The NJEA has a very comprehensive section with valuable resources to guide you through the evaluation process.

Tip re: Domain 4: Participation in your Professional Community ( Domain 4: 4D)
Attending NTEA Meetings, Building Rep responsibilities, NTEA Jean's Day etc. are all part of Domain 4. Keep track of your attendance at meetings, workshops, etc. and include these in Domain 4 activities / service to profession and relationship with colleagues etc.
NJEA and NTEA members have been attending the Governor's Town Hall events to challenge the Governor's misuse of pension funds and to protest his refusal to make the required payments to the pension fund. Want to get involved? Call the NTEA office and ask how.
